  • Start: 9:30–10:00 AM β€” no alarm, konbini first
  • Hard floor: 11:00 AM β€” almost nothing worth visiting opens before then
  • Wrap: 8:00–9:00 PM
  • Evening: optional; easy out by 10:00 PM

🟑 Moderate Day (Osaka market, single district, museum)

  • Start: 8:30–9:00 AM
  • First move: 9:00–9:30 AM (parks and shrines open; konbini on the way)
  • Wrap: 8:00–9:00 PM; evening flexible
  • One vinyl bar or jazz stop: out by 11:00 PM max

🟑 Kyoto Day Trip

  • Depart Osaka: 6:30–7:00 AM (Fushimi Inari target) or 7:30 AM (everything else)
  • At site: by 8:00–9:00 AM, before crowds
  • Return to Osaka: 2:00–3:00 PM β€” the right call, not a failure
  • Evening: light only; home by 9:00 PM

  • Start: 9:00–9:30 AM
  • Real action: 10:00–11:00 AM (neighborhoods, shops)
  • Wrap: 8:00–9:00 PM most days
  • One planned late night (Blue Note): midnight cap; next morning protected

Blue Note Night (whenever booked)

  • First set: ~7:30 PM, done by ~9:00 PM β€” the right option for the group
  • That day’s afternoon: light only
  • Next morning: nothing before 10:00 AM
